Chénas Les Blémonts Vignes Centenaires - 2015 - Raphaël Saint-Cyr - Magnum
Domaine Saint-Cyr
Blackberry, cherry, spices, subtly earty nose... Great class... A 2015 which offers us a very beautiful tactile sensation, a velvety and tender palate, with ripe and perfectly integrated tannins.

100% Gamay from 100-year-old vines, grown organically and planted on a single plot, which shows a blended terroir of granite, sand and flint soils. South exposure. Manual harvesting and very low yields, around 10 hl/ha. Vinification: total destemming, 30 days of maceration without pumping over or punching down. Soft pressing, aging in barrels that have seen six wines, for 24 months. Neither fined nor filtered, just a micro-dose of sulphur at bottling.
Raphaël Saint-Cyr
Raphaël Saint-Cyr is at the head of Domaine Saint-Cyr, located in Anse in Beaujolais. The history of the family estate dates back to 1949, when Pierre Saint-Cyr, Raphaël's great-grandfather, settled on this small farm. How far they’ve come over the generations! The estate has now 23 hectares of vines in the Beaujolais, Chénas, Morgon and Moulin-à-Vent appellations. Respectful cultural...
