Chénas Robert - 2021 - Raphaël Saint-Cyr
Domaine Saint-Cyr
Fragrant nose of Morello cherry, blackberry, raspberry jam, hint of undergrowth. Palate: ripe and perfectly integrated tannins that coat the fruit without masking it. To uncork now for its freshness, or to cellar for its great aging potential.

100% Gamay from 40-year-old organic vines planted on three parcels showing three different terroirs: alluvium, granite, sand and flint. Manual harvest, with yields around 35 hl/ha. Vinification: in whole bunches, carbonic maceration for 20 days, fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Soft pressing, 10 months of aging, half in vats and half in old casks. Bottled at the estate without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulfur at bottling.
