Moulin à Vent Les P'tits Bois - 2022 - Raphaël Saint-Cyr
Domaine Saint-Cyr
Fragrant nose with notes of redcurrant, strawberry jam, dried herbs... The palate is exactly what you would expect from the nose, highly fruity and digestible, with barrel ageing adding a lovely structure.

100% Gamay from 30-year-old vines grown organically, planted on granitic alluvium soils, this is a small southeast-facing parcel next to the lieu-dit known as "La Bruyère", vinified separately for generous vintages. Harvesting is done by hand. Vinification: whole bunches, cold carbonic maceration for 15 days, 10 months of aeing, half in concrete vats and half in old barrels. Bottled at the estate without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulfur.
Raphaël Saint-Cyr
Raphaël Saint-Cyr is at the head of Domaine Saint-Cyr, located in Anse in Beaujolais. The history of the family estate dates back to 1949, when Pierre Saint-Cyr, Raphaël's great-grandfather, settled on this small farm. How far they’ve come over the generations! The estate has now 23 hectares of vines in the Beaujolais, Chénas, Morgon and Moulin-à-Vent appellations. Respectful cultural...
