Delphine and Yann Bouvier

Delphine and Yann Bouvier, founders of Domaine de l’Immortelle, met during their studies, though at first had no intention of working in the wine industry. Both graduates in chemistry, they spent a few years in Paris, got bored and flew to Martinique – still no closer to the wine world. Yet a passion for the subject was burgeoning in the lovebirds. When their friend Grégoire Rousseau founded the Domaine Coquelicot in 2006, their dream of making wine began to grow. The couple imagined living in southern France, attracted by the sunshine and the profile of the wines produced there. As luck would have it, upon returning to France, the opportunity came up to acquire a winery and some lovely hillside vineyard parcels totalling 6.5 hectares. Moreover, Yann now also manages around 300 almond trees on the estate, and planted honey hedges to bring back bees and insects. The couple works in symbiosis with nature, doing their part to ensure that the savoir-faire of past vignerons past will live on.
