A Pinot Noir made from old vines planted on clay-limestone soils on the Frémiers vineyard parcel (0.79 ha), located south of Pommard. The soil is ploughed to encourage deep rooting. The grapes are harvested by hand, with tightly controlled yields and strict sorting of the bunches. Vinification: whole bunches, cold maceration, fermentation at low temperatures, frequent punching of the cap and pumping over, a post-fermentation carbonic maceration, and 23 months maturation in oak barrels, a third of which are new. Neither fined nor filtered.
