Sangiovese from old vines grown organically and planted in gobelet pruning at 500 meters above sea level, on volcanic soils. Manual harvest: semi-carbonic maceration of the whole bunches in conical French oak vats for four weeks, treading and punch down of the bunches in the vat, end of alcoholic fermentation, pressing, then two years of aging in a 5-hl French oak vat. Not fined, not filtered, without added sulfites.
Gian Marco Antonuzi
Gian Marco Antonuzi and Clémentine Bouvéron live in Gradoli, 150 km north of Rome. Clémentine studied oenology and Gian trained under such renowned vignerons as Barral and Pacalet . The young couple settled here in 2004 and started their estate from scratch, the land uncultivated but for a grove of olive trees abandoned for the last 20 years – good news when one doesn't want to inherit...
