Third vintage for this cuvée, a blend from several parcels of the Domaine: 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Ploussard, from organically farmed vines planted on marl and limestone soils. Harvested by hand. Separate vinification for each grape variety, with full destemming, 20 days of maceration. Marin doesn’t touch the Ploussard during vinification, with just one or two pump-overs for the Pinot Noir. Aged for 10 months in large barrels, without new oak. Bottled at the estate with minimal sulfites.

Marin Fumey, a young purebred Jura winegrower, has always bathed in Vin Jaune! His parents Adeline and Raphaël founded the estate in 1986 with only 56 acres of vines. While it remains a family affair, today Fumey-Chatelain totals sixteen hectares of vines in the process of being converted to organics.
