The 2022 vintage is again a 100% Abouriou, a teinturier or ‘dyer’ grape variety, once used to add colour to other wines, and today very rare, originally from the southwest. From vines around thirty years old, cultivated organically and planted just behind the winery, on a terroir of schist. Vinification: a very short maceration of two days, in whole bunches, soft pressing, then 7 months of maturation in vats. Bottled at the Estate mid-April 2023 without fining or filtration, no added sulfites.
