100% Chenin, from 80-year-old vines, grown biodynamically, facing South on a superb terroir of clay and flint stone, on a limestone bedrock. The grapes were harvested by hand on the 26th and 27th of September and 3rd of October 2023,, with a sorting table set up in the vineyard! Vinification: a delicate, long pressing of the whole bunches, indigenous yeasts, long alcoholic fermentation in 225- and 400-liter barrels. Aged for 10 months on fine lees, no racking before bottling in July 2024.
Damien Délécheneau
Damien and Coralie Délécheneau met as classmates in Bordeaux, while both studying for their oenology diplomas, and haven’t left each other since. After each separately gaining experience (in the Beaujolais trade body, and in California for Madame, and training in Irancy, in Chablis at Domaine Laroche, in Saint Estèphe, and in Napa Valley for Monsieur) they finally returned to Amboise in 2002...
