This special cuvée of Cabernet Franc comes from organically farmed vines on the Vignaux terroir, made in collaboration with Thibault Stéphan at Puy-Notre-Dame, who supplied half of the Cabernet Franc for this wine. Hand-harvested and naturally vinified, with half the grapes directly pressed and the other half destemmed, for a two-week infusion in the juice. The whole is then pressed and aged in vats for 5 months. Bottled at the end of January without fining, filtration, or any added sulfur.

Sophie and Clément Maire-Kurdziel, just in their early forties, are respectively from Moselle and Aveyron in France, and met at the university in Montpellier. Both became oenologists, they worked for large Estates in France and abroad, before returning to the Loire Valley.
