Loire Valley
Les Madères - 2023 - Thierry Puzelat
Clos Tue-Boeuf
Powerful, complex nose with notes of mirabelle plum, pear, butter and a hint of toast. Full-bodied on the palate, with lovely volume balanced by the tension and acidity of a great Vouvray. Long, salivating finish.

100% Chenin from 80-year-old vines, grown organically and planted in Vouvray on a hillside facing the Loire, with pure limestone soils and limestone outcrops all over the plot. Hand-harvested and naturally vinified: direct pressing, fermentation and ageing in barrels that have seen several wines, for 10 months. Bottled at the Clos du Tue-Boeuf without fining or filtration, and zero added sulfur.
