A blend of Grenache and Syrah, with a touch of Carignan (old vines). Organically farmed on clay-limestone soils with blue marl subsoil. The cuvée takes its name from the town of Châteaurenard, the origin of these “rebellious” grapes which were saved by Domaine Milan from ending up at the local cooperative, their original destination. Hand-harvested and naturally vinified: whole clusters infused in a bit of press juice, gently pressed, and aged for 8 months in concrete tanks. Bottled at the Domaine with just a micro-dose of sulfur.
