A blended cuvée: 70% Viognier and 30% Chardonnay All of Andréa’s parcels are planted on clay-limestone soils. Le Blanc is the fruit of a direct pressing and natural fermentation, almost one year of aging in old Burgundy oak barrels. The wine is neither fined nor filtered. This ultra-natural wine has no added sulfites. Bottled at the Estate on the 11th of July 2023.
Andréa Calek was trained by the Rohel brothers in the Rhône and by Dominique Hauvette in Baux de Provence. Our globetrotting Czech then laid down his hat in Alba-la-Romaine, 10 km East of Montélimar, in the heart of the Ardèche, where he created his own estate in 2007.
