Cornas - 2023 - Jean Michel Stephan
Maison Stephan
We’re thrilled to see Jean-Michel Stéphan crafting wine from this appellation, delivering a glass bursting with black fruit, blackberry, musk, and a hint of forest floor. The palate is all about elegance—a sublime, age-worthy wine. Decanting is recommended in its youth.

100% Syrah sourced from young, organically farmed vines planted at 400 meters altitude on granite soils rich in mica. The vines are gobelet-trained and hand-harvested. Naturally vinified at Maison Stéphan’s cellar in Tupin: whole-cluster fermentation with a 7-day semi-carbonic maceration, gentle pressing, and 12 months of aging in 228L oak barrels from the Tronçais forest, aged 10 years (no new oak). Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfites.
