Rhône Valley
Crozes Hermitage "Les Croix Vieilles Vignes" - 2021 - David Reynaud
Domaine Les Bruyères
A nose of blackberry, pepper, leather and peony... Palate: intense, firm texture, fine tannins, a powerful wine, more classic in style compared to Reynaud’s Georges cuvée.

100% Syrah, this is a single-parcel cuvée from old vines over 60 years old, cultivated organically and biodynamically on a clay-limestone terrace in the commune of Beaumont-Monteux. Harvested manually. Vinification: 100% destemmed grapes, around one month of maceration with punchdowns. Gentle pressing, the juices are moved by gravity, followed by fermentation and aging for 12 months in barrels that have seen several wines, then 6 months in concrete tanks. Racking, filtration, and bottling in Spring 2023 with a low dose of sulfur.

In 2002, he stopped delivering his grapes to the cooperative, which was uninterested in his desire to improve his work methods! Since then, his wines have never ceased to gain in precision and complexity. In 2005, the 20 ha estate was certified...
