La Pointue is a 35-acre plot planted with nine red and white grape varieties, including 100+year-old Grenache Noir (80% of the vines). The grapes were harvested by hand when over-ripe (with a 14,5% as a result!). Vinified naturally and without additives: total destemming for this vintage, the grape varieties are co-macerated together, spending 7 days in vats with cap punch downs for gentle extraction. Matured six months in stainless steel vats. Neither fined nor filtered, and bottled in March 2024 without any added sulphur.
Nicolas Renaud is a thirty-something winemaker settled since 2007 just next to Tavel and Avignon.
