Rhône Valley
Swimming Poul - 2023 - Julien Mary
Domaine de la Goguette
Note: This is not a wine to sip by the swimming pool, but a true gastronomic wine! Beautiful orange color, with aromas of roasted apricot, yellow peach, quince, and honey. On the palate: a hint of tannin, lovely texture built around the fruit, and a long finish with fine bitterness.

A cuvée produced from grapes purchased from a friend. This blend of Picpoul Blanc, Gris, and Noir comes from old 80-year-old goblet-trained vines, grown biodynamically on deep clay soils. The three grape varieties are co-planted on the same plot in Roquemaure. Hand-harvested. Vinification: 9 days of maceration of the three grape varieties together, with whole bunches and strict temperature control. Aged for 7 months in tanks, bottled at the Domaine without fining or filtration, and with no added sulfites.
