Rhône Valley
Vieux Sage - 2023 - Nicolas Renaud
Clos des Grillons
It's hard not to be a fan of this cuvée! Blackcurrant, violet, garrigue, soft spices... Palate: digestible, supple tannins and good aging potential. Very beautiful example of a willowy and elegant Rhône Syrah. Decanting recommended in its youth.

100% Syrah from 35-year-old vines, grown organically and planted on a very beautiful plot with shallow red clay soils. This cuvée is not produced, it hyas bcome rare since the Syrah needs water... Manual harvest and small yields. Vinification: 11 days of maceration, short aging in demi-muids barrels that have seen several wines. Bottled without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulphur.
