Complex nose on notes of stewed pear, citrus zest, mango, fresh butter, hazelnut. The palate is fleshy, vibrant, complex, with a nice mineral backbone that you wouldn’t guess on the nose...a nice surprise! Long finish on biscuity notes.

100% Welschriesling from 30-year-old vines, grown organically, and planted on the hill of Siklos, 300 meters above sea level, in the small town of Levice in South-Eastern Slovakia. Very specific terroir of travertine with a strong presence of calcium carbonate. Natural vinification: direct pressing of the whole bunches, the juice is moved by gravity, spontaneous fermentation, aging for 9 months in stainless steel vats. Bottled without fining or filtration, just a micro dose of sulphur.

Viktor Sipos traveled the world before coming back to Slovakia. As an engineer specialized in power plants, he lived in London, Vietnam and Martinique. Willing to settle in his hometown, he looked for a family house in Levice, South-West of Slovakia. It was chance (fate!) that put his current home in his path.
