Magma - 2021 - Maxime Rozé
La Micro Winerie
Ripe black fruit and undergrowth on the nose, dense and fresh on the palate, tannins softened thanks to a quite long aging, finish with a hint of menthol. Magma is the fusion of these two aging processes, the meeting of the oak of the barrel and the earth of the amphora.

A blended cuvée of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, from organic vines grown by Kim and Sylvain Destrieux of Clos de la Molénie in Ruch, Entre-deux-Mers region. This cuvée was thus produced thanks to the purchase of top-quality grapes. Harvesting by hand, vinified naturally at the Darwin winery, an alternative place in Bordeaux. Indigenous yeasts, maceration then gentle pressing, 12 months of aging, 60% in barrels and 40% in amphorae. Bottled in late 2022, without fining or filtration, micro-dose of sulphur.
