This cuvée is the result of grapes bought from friends who share the same natural approach to winemaking, in this case a blend of Gamay from Fleurie, and a bit of Jura's grape varieties, harvested by hand and vinified naturally. Semi-carbonic maceration at low temperature and ageing in truncated cone barrels. Unfined, unfiltered, no sulphur added. The visual aspect of these bottles has created controversy in quite a number of countries, enough to suggest Jura’s most emblematic winegrower enjoys playing with the law.

Jean-François Ganevat represents the 14th generation of vignerons of his family in Rotalier, in the south of Jura. After years working as the cellar master of Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he took over his family’s estate in 1998.
