A rich and concentrated nose... On the palate: intense, fruity and spicy... This wine will replace your black cherry jams and marry brilliantly with your cheeses: Munster, Époisse, etc....
Jean-Claude Lapalu
Jean-Claude Lapalu is a vigneron who works in harmony with nature, situated on the slopes of Brouilly since 1996. His 9-hectare estate is certified organic, even if he does not mark this on his labels. He also bottles his wines with next to no sulphur – just 1 g/hl. It would be easy to imagine then that some oenophiles might dismiss him as lazy tree hugger, and yet for some time now Jean-Claude has been embraced as enthusiastically by lovers of natural, authentic wines as by international critics accustomed to scintillating châteaux with thick carpets and marble foyers. In fact, both Robert Parker and Jancis Robinson made special trips to meet Jean-Claude in person during visits to Beaujolais – a rare move coming from these rock stars of the wine world, especially given Jean-Claude’s policy of never sending samples to the press. Clearly they don’t hold that against him – Parker gave his Brouilly “Vieilles Vignes” a 94/100! Jean-Claude may not have a shiny castle or marble floors, but his wines sparkle like jewels...
A lively and fruity nose... Palate: mineral and fruity: black cherry. This is luscious and extremely smooth juice, precise and delicious.
The hunt is on! Gulp, gulp, gulp... yes, it’s a wine for the thirsty, but not only! It’s like a handful of fresh grapes in a glass!

Tutti Frutti! Nose with notes of strawberry, cherry, raspberry, plum, blackberry... Juicy, fluid, supple and easy to drink, with just the right amount of structure and depth. Long finish on tangy red fruits aromas.
Superb texture, powerful, fruity... You could say it feels like a Pinot Noir, this is very classy wine!
A nose of red berries and floral notes. On the palate, the texture is magical, fine and subtle. An enormous success, the name Eau Forte comes from the fact that this wine is very (perhaps too) easy to drink – a gulpable glouglou cuvée... One glass calls for another, guaranteed.
Great roundness and minerality, with notes of black cherry, plum, violet and liquorice. Full bodied and silky on the palate.

This is always a favorite among Lapalu cuvées: undergrowth, leather, cocoa, red fruits, hints of dried herbs... Round, voluminous, mineral and silky on the palate, with a long finish.
"The only way to get rid of temptation (tentation) is to yield to it", said Oscar Wilde... What else? Cherry, pomegranate, cinnamon, nutmeg. Velvety mouthfeel, crisp tannins, it's a success.
This white will make you see colours! A bottle I wager won’t last half an hour... A very ripe Chard, carried by notes of white flowers, citrus and fresh butter. Easy to drink, great stuff!

A cuvée making its comeback for the first time since 2018! Notes of raspberry, redcurrant, rose, and citrus zest… The whole profile is lively, refreshing, and light—just what you'd expect from a Lapalu rosé!
