Jean-Sé Gioan

Jean-Sé Gioan, child of the 1969 vintage, from Allier (right in the middle of France), was in no way predestined to make natural wines in Roussillon. No way... but when he met a bottle of Lapierre, the man got a true revelation. He then discovered La Mémée and Pascal S. by Gramenon, which he drank a lot during nights spent toasting in the best natural wine bistros of Paris, which were true precursors at the time (think La Baratin, le Verre Volé...). In 2004, Jean-Sé worked for six months with Thierry Puzelat in the Loire Valley. That was the big shift: he left his job, his parisian life, and in 2006, he went into exile in Roussillon with his partner and a few friends. He began a viti-vini training, did his internships with Jean-François Nicq of Foulards Rouges estate. In 2008, he took over ten hectares of vines, farmed organically since 1999. He founded the Domaine Potron Minet, vinified his juices instinctively... This beautiful adventure goes on ever since!
