Maria Teresa Mascarello

Maria Teresa Mascarello embodies the fourth generation of Domaine Mascarello, having taken up the torch in the early 1990s following her father, the famous winemaker Bartolo Mascarello, who passed away in 2005. The family history rooted in Barolo in the heart of Piemonte, is that of a pioneering family, which already bottled part of its wine as early as in 1919, selling the rest of the production in demijohns; in 1960, all the wines were bottled at the Estate. Pioneers and at the same time guardians of the traditional Barolo appellation, since Bartolo has always refused to use the oak barrel, preferring large Slavonian casks or botti, to avoid any overpowering aromas. Traditional without ever being conservative, since it is also to Mascarello that we owe the famous cuvée “No Barrique No Berlusconi”! High-end and free Nebbiolo, produced on prime plots, including Cannubi, one of Barolo's most revered Crus. A wine that defies time, for unforgettable tastings.
