Perrine Loeuilleux
Perinne Loeuilleux is a new winemaker that was absolutely not destined for a career in the vineyard. An agricultural engineer from the Pas-de-Calais region of France, she raised with "big red wine" by her parents; it was her encounter with a Burgundian guy that put her head and palate straight into wine! A series of winemaking experiences followed, from Domaine de la Tournelle to Domaine Padié, via Plageoles and La Calmette. Perrine took over two hectares of Muscat, Syrah and Grenache vines in Calce, which she nurtures with biodynamic preparations and hydrolats that bring life back to the soil and help a great deal against drought. Her Domaine de l'Âme Bleue was born with the 2021 vintage, but that's not all, as Perrine is well surrounded: she works regularly with Virginie Maignien (ex-Causses Marines), and is part of the Gypsy Queens collective of winemaking friends, who vinified their first negociant cuvée. A beautiful example of Sisterhood under the Sun, for very sapid wines!
