Gwendolyn Berger and Jean-Jacques Branger are the winemaking couple behind Clos des B, located in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. After diverse careers in real estate, publishing, and high-level equestrian sports, they settled into this biodynamic haven with stunning terraced vineyards exposed to the maritime winds. Gwendolyn, a local, grew up in the vineyards and always dreamed of making her own wine. At 46, after studying oenology at the University of Wine in Suze-la-Rousse, she and Jean-Jacques purchased 2.7 hectares in Grimaud in 2019, followed by 6 hectares in Ramatuelle, and now a new vineyard of Bourboulenc, Clairette, Chenin, Rolle, and Syrah (massal selection from Saint-Joseph). Their wines, made without added sulfites, have completely captivated us: pure, energetic, fresh, saline, and deep. Provence here is expressed with audacity and finesse, thanks to the talent of this remarkable duo.

A classy rosé, one of our absolute favorites from Provence. Fresh notes of red berries meet a rich, indulgent side, with hints of salted butter caramel (yes, really!). The finish is long and saline—an irresistible delight.

What a surprise and delight in your glass: a complex, aromatic nose with notes of pear, white peach, and almond, all wrapped in a rich, almost biscuity touch. Lovely volume, with that same complexity on the palate—round, and finishing on sweet mirabelle plum.

Les Poupettes are the three granddaughters of Jean-Jacques Branger! A fresh, light, and thirst-quenching wine with loads of fruit: strawberry, cherry, raspberry, and red currant take center stage. Delicious aromatics, with the fruit framed by a lovely minerality.

Huge favorite during tasting, with a highly complex nose blending blueberry, wild herbs, and soft spices. On the palate: lovely silky volume, soft, well-integrated tannins, lots of roundness, and a very indulgent texture. Long finish. A wine crafted for food pairings.

Probably the most accomplished and complex cuvée from the Domaine. You’re unmistakably in Provence: wild herbs, black olive, prune, spices, forest floor, and blackberry jam... On the palate: fine tannins and a sublime length. Great aging potential.
