A sweet juice, with a nose of apricot, yellow peach, juicy pear, passion fruit, and white flowers... The palate is simply incredible, the balance between the fine acidity and the 18 grams of residual sugar/litre is masterful – one of our great favourites.
Clément and Laure-Anne Nicolas
Clément Nicolas and his wife Laure-Anne took over the reins of Domaine de Bellivière in a smooth transition in 2021, after Clément had joined his parents, Eric and Christine Nicolas, at the estate in 2015. Founded in 1995, the Domaine has become a Loire Valley benchmark, especially for its Jasnières and Coteaux-du-Loir—two underappreciated appellations that the family elevated to excellence through hard work, passion, and skill. After restoring an old farmhouse, the estate now spans 20 hectares across five communes in the Sarthe. Certified organic since 2005 and biodynamic since 2011, their natural winemaking involves gravity-fed processes and aging in troglodyte cellars—choices rooted in respect for the land. High school sweethearts, Laure-Anne and Clément continue to uphold Bellivière’s legacy, crafting impeccably precise wines that reflect the vibrant terroirs they nurture.
"Peach, quince, honey, tropical fruits, a hint of pastry... A few words from the Domaine: 'This wine, delicious in its youth, will reveal a more pronounced minerality after a few years of aging.' A technically dry wine, slightly off-dry, with 7 grams/liter of residual sugar."
A nose bursting with notes of black fruits, cherry, cinnamon, undergrowth... Supple on the palate, a digestible wine with a juicy and finely acidulous finish. Lively wine, shake it or decant it before serving if you're afraid of gas.
A lovely introduction to the estate’ wines, with notes of honey, beeswax, quince, pear, and melon... A wine that falls into the category of "semi-sweet", with 10.5 grams of residual sugar per litre. Must be tried with an apple tarte Tatin!
A demi-sec rosé with 18 grams of residual sugar per liter, this cuvée is crafted only in favorable vintages. It offers a characterful profile, combining refined notes of spice with the indulgent ripeness of red fruit.
Warning: once you’ve tasted this wine, it will be haunting you for years. Complex and fragrant nose with notes of black fruits, stone fruits, soft spices... The palate is luscious, silky, while retaining the mineral structure of the terroir.
A sparkling white wine, just slightly off-dry with 16 grams of residual sugar per liter, it’s the perfect bottle to enjoy at the end of a meal with a fruit tart. Notes of orchard fruits, lemon zest, honey, almond, and a hint of brioche.
First vintage for this cuvée, bringing together the spice and freshness of the North with the sunshine of the Southern Rhône! A beautiful balance in this unexpected blend that awakens your senses and draws you right to the glass.
A few words from the estate: "When the Grenache berries turn into bubbles, thanks to the Pineau d’Aunis! These Grenache grapes bring us a fresh, easy-drinking sparkling red."
A dry rosé wine, crafted for food-pairings and gastronomy, carried by notes of black fruits and soft spices. Astrancia is a delicate mountain flower that offers us its delighting purple reflections all summer long, exactly like this cuvée!
