Clément and Laure-Anne Nicolas
Clément Nicolas and his wife Laure-Anne took over the reins of Domaine de Bellivière in a smooth transition in 2021, after Clément had joined his parents, Eric and Christine Nicolas, at the estate in 2015. Founded in 1995, the Domaine has become a Loire Valley benchmark, especially for its Jasnières and Coteaux-du-Loir—two underappreciated appellations that the family elevated to excellence through hard work, passion, and skill. After restoring an old farmhouse, the estate now spans 20 hectares across five communes in the Sarthe. Certified organic since 2005 and biodynamic since 2011, their natural winemaking involves gravity-fed processes and aging in troglodyte cellars—choices rooted in respect for the land. High school sweethearts, Laure-Anne and Clément continue to uphold Bellivière’s legacy, crafting impeccably precise wines that reflect the vibrant terroirs they nurture.
