Chardonnay from 40-year-old vines, grown organically though not certified. Blend of several plots located East and West on the village of Chassagne Montrachet. 1/3 of the vines are planted on soils with a majority of clay, and 2/3 in the North of the appellation with more stony and calcareous soils. Indigenous yeasts, direct pressing, 48 hours of settling in vats, the juices are moved into barrels that have seen one to three wines, fermentation and aging for 12 months - 20% new oak. Ending with three months in vats. Unfiltered, very light fining.

Alexandre Moreau is the eldest son of Bernard Moreau, he has been working on the estate since 1995, and is today at the head of the family vineyard, embodying its fifth generation.
