100% Chardonnay, from 75-year-old vines, planted by massal selection on a parcel of 34 ares located in the Charlemagne area, on light-coloured clay soil. Cultivated organically and biodynamically, with horse-drawn ploughing of the soil, no chemicals, and harvesting by hand in small crates. Vinification: direct pressing, cold settling, vinified in 225-litre barrels, matured for 18 months on the lees. Neither filtered, nor fined, and bottled with just a micro-dose of sulphur in order to protect the wine. A wine with great ageing potential, to be opened in 3 years and kept for 20!
