Domaine Trapet
The nose opens with a basket of fresh red fruits: cherry, strawberry, redcurrant, before evolving into notes of undergrowth, pepper and a hint of nutmeg. The palate is powerful, enveloping and very charming, although still in the fervor of its youth. Beautiful aging potential.

A new domain in our sights: that of Pierre and Louis Trapet, sons of Andrée and Jean-Louis. Pinot Noir from organic vines planted Les Vaumuriens Climat, on a plot just above the Premier Cru Les Rugiens, with shallow white soils and a north-east exposure. Hand-harvested, controlled yield controlled and sorting of the grapes. Natural vinification, aged mainly in egg-shaped concrete vats. Bottled without fining or filtration.
Jean-Louis Trapet
Jean-Louis Trapet is part of a select circle of the 10 greatest vignerons of the Côte de Nuits. His family estate, founded by his great-grandfather in 1870, is composed of around 15 hectares of the most beautiful parcels around Gevrey.
