Savigny-lès-Beaune Petit Aigle - 2020 - Boris Champy
Domaine Boris Champy
The nose opens with a lovely basket of fresh berries, led by blackcurrant and redcurrant, then evolving towards peony and soft spices. Palate: lively, fruity attack, very elegant structure thanks to fine tannins, chalky texture, long finish. Superbly digest wine.

100% Pinot Noir from organically grown vines, this cuvée was produced thanks to grapes purchased from the Les Gollardes Climat, in the top hills of Savigny-lès-Beaune. The plot faces South-West, with shallow clay-iron soils rich in stones. Harvested by hand. Vinification: total destemming, maceration in open vats, some punching down and pumping over, gentle pressing, 12 months of aging in oak barrels. Bottled without filtration at Boris Champy estate.
