Fragrant nose carried by notes of cherry, kirsch, blackcurrant, rose, undergrowth, subtle hint of smoke. Palate: supple texture, typical Volnay finesse, sublime interpretation of the appellation, balanced acidity which promises a beautiful ageing.

100% Pinot Noir from vines of 35 years old on average, grown organically (not certified), planted on clay-limestone soils and facing South-East. Manual harvesting, indigenous yeasts. Two weeks of maceration with 30% of whole bunches, with regular pump-overs and punch-downs. Soft pressing, the juices are moved into casks for the end of fermentations and aging in casks for twelve months, with 15% new oak, and finally a maturation of three months in vats. Bottled at the Estate without fining nor filtration.
Alexandre Moreau
Alexandre Moreau is the eldest son of Bernard Moreau, he has been working on the estate since 1995, and is today at the head of the family vineyard, embodying its fifth generation.
