The Chartreuse Verte is powerful. It is made with 130 plants and totally elaborated from natural elements, its fame is worldwide. Aged in oak casks and in the bottle.
Only two Carthusian Brothers know the names of the plants and how to mix and distill them. They are also the only ones who know which plants to use, to give the natural green and yellow colors. They are the ones who control the slow aging of the liqueur and decide when the liqueur is ready to be bottled. Traditionally, it is considered a digestif, but more and more connoisseurs also enjoy it in cocktails.
