100% Vermentino, also known as Rolle. Vines facing northwest and south, on a windswept, clay-granite terroir. The estate has been certified organic by ECOCERT since 2002, with the vines farmed biodynamically since 2006. As for vinification: green harvesting, hand picking, sensible yields (40 hl/ha), whole bunches, indigenous yeasts. Matured 6 to 8 months in casks and barrels. Natural clarification, light filtration.

Yves Canarelli took over his grandfather’s vines in 1993. In 20 years, he has shifted his viticulture over to biodynamics, and reintroduced ancient grape varietals like Cargaghjolu Nero, which nearly went extinct in the 1960s.
