A powerful nose of very ripe yellow fruit, exotic fruit, and maquis... A crisp palate, balanced, with huge volume, and beautiful length... A wine to be discovered imperatively!
A blended cuvée: Bianco Gentile, Brustiano, Genovese, Rossola Bianca and Vermentino, grown on granite sands. The vines are 60 years old and farmed biodynamically (certified by DEMETER since 2000), with horse ploughing, green cover between the rows, and sheep grazing through the winter. Vinification: hand picking, low yields, direct pressing, maturation in 600-litre barrels that have seen several wines. Light filtration, sensible use of sulphur. A cuvée for connoisseurs, only 1500 bottles produced.
Jean-Charles Abbatucci is the man at the head of this historic estate in southern Corsica, in the heart of the Taravo valley. Domaine Comte Abbatucci’s 18 hectares have been cultivated biodynamically since 2000, certified by DEMETER. The environment surrounding its vineyards is exceptional, and it is also why the site was chosen to host the Isle of Beauty’s conservatory of ancient grape...
