Blend of Nielluccio and Syrah. Vines facing northwest and south, on a windswept, clay-limestone terroir. The estate has been certified organic by ECOCERT since 2002, with the vines farmed biodynamically since 2006. The yield for this cuvée was 40 hl/ha. As for vinification: green harvesting, hand picking, sorting tables, 100% destemming of grapes, direct pressing, indigenous yeasts... Neither fined nor filtered. Matured 16 months in casks and barrels.

Yves Canarelli took over his grandfather’s vines in 1993. In 20 years, he has shifted his viticulture over to biodynamics, and reintroduced ancient grape varietals like Cargaghjolu Nero, which nearly went extinct in the 1960s.
