100% Riesling from old vines, most of them ungrafted, planted on small terraces with stony soils. There is no link with the Alsatian Grand Cru Schlossberg, but the same particularity of a hillside parcel, Schlossberg meaning "castle mountain" in German. Harvesting is done late and by hand, with meticulous sorting of the grapes, and low yields. The grapes are macerated a few hours, with indigenous yeasts, followed by a long maturation in stainless steel vats on the fine lees. The bottle’s gold capsule indicates that this is a sweet wine.
