Riserva Giotto - 2022 - Gabrio Bini
Serragghia
Rich, floral nose with exotic aromas of passion fruit, lychee, guava, and tangerine, followed by smoky and spicy notes. A surprising wine – that's the point! The palate is elegant and fresh, ever evolving in the glass – volcanic stuff! A wine for meditation, the fruit of a wild vineyard.

100% Carignan from 135-year-old wild vines cultivated biodynamically and planted on the volcanic soils of the small island of Pantelleria, located between Tunisia and Sicily. Natural vinification, with zero additives: the grapes are moved in the winery by gravity, followed by 100% destemming, then maceration and maturation in terracotta amphorae (dolias) for 7 months. This is pure unfiltered juice, unfined, with out added sulphur with a very very low total SO2 – an approach requiring a master’s touch! A rare cuvée.
Gabrio Bini
Gabrio Bini, 70 years young, lives and works on Pantelleria, a tiny volcanic island in the strait of Sicily, halfway between Sicily and Tunisia. The neighbour of Bond-girl-turned-winemaker Carole Bouquet, Bini has had several lives as well: architect in Milan, right-hand to a (very) big name in haute couture, before becoming consumed with a passion for this island – and for natural wines....
