RS22 - 2022 - Saša Radikon
Radikon
RS stands for Rosso Saša, the winemaker's red. Complex nose, hard to guess the Merlot, with notes of marzipan cherry, plum, leather, cocoa, a touch of balsamic and smoke. Palate: a powerful, structured wine with a lush texture and a long finish, definitely a wine for food pairings.

A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Pignoli from 25-year-old vines, grown organically on clay and marl soils on a South-facing slope. Harvested by hand. Natural vinification: 15 days of maceration in wooden vats, gentle pressing, 18 months of aging in large 25-35 hl oak tuns that have seen several wines. Bottled at the estate without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulfur at bottling.
