Semplicemente Vino Rosso - 2023 - Ilaria Bellotti

A blend of 50% Barbera and 50% Dolcetto, from 25-year-old vines, cultivated on a red clay soil, rich in iron, in the Tassarolo wine region. Yield 50 hl/ha. Vinification: traditional maceration with submerged cap for one week, with 15% whole bunches. Then fermented and matured in large, 25-hl oak barrels for 11 months. Zero sulphites added at bottling, and no filtering. In Stefano’s words: "A bold, direct wine, which doesn’t pretend to be anything else than what it is. It’s frank, open, and entirely comfortable with itself!"
