A complex nose with notes of pear and sweet spices... Palate: this is clean, precise juice, balanced and smooth, with a salty finish. Very lovely work from Fred with his Jurassian harvest!
100% Savagnin, made with organic grapes purchased from the Jura region, harvested in the commune of Saint-Agnès, manual harvest. Natural vinification in Saint-Romain in Fred’s winery. Direct pressing of the whole bunches (slow and gentle to be respectful of the fruit), followed by 12 months of maturation egg-shaped concrete vats. Unfined, unfiltered, no added sulphur.
Frédéric Cossard and his partner Laure founded their estate in 2006, while also beginning to buy grapes from multiple historic appellations: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard, Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée, and even the Jura.
