An ultra complex nose, with notes of Mirabelle plum, apricot, hazelnut, walnut, bouquet of flowers, spices and coriander... Palate: intense, rich, and mineral… a mighty tasty wine. Antide is Jean-François's son.
100% Savagnin Vert. A single vineyard cuvée, from a parcel of vines planted in 1933 in Chalasses, on a terroir of blue marls. The grapes were handpicked when very ripe. Vinification is natural and without additives: direct pressing, four years of maturation in demi-muids barrels on the lees, without new oak, in a humid cellar, with topping up of the barrels (the wine is non-oxidative). No added sulphur, no fining and no filtration.
Jean-François Ganevat represents the 14th generation of vignerons of his family in Rotalier, in the south of Jura. After years working as the cellar master of Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he took over his family’s estate in 1998.
