Cheverny "Frileuse" - 2023 - Thierry Puzelat
Clos Tue-Boeuf
A nose with notes of pineapple, flowers and minerals... Palate: balanced and supple, with citrus and mineral notes. A very nice cuvée, Thierry!

A blended cuvée of Sauvignon, Fié Gris and Chardonnay, from organically farmed vines planted on flinty clay soils. Each grape variety represent 1/3 of the blend, the grapes are harvested by hand and the yields are controlled. Viticulture and winemaking are 100% natural: direct pressing, maturation is done for 90% in Burgundian barrels and casks that have seen several wines, and 10% in amphorae. Unfined, unfiltered, just a tiny dose of sulfites. Bottled at the Estate on the 12th of February 2024.

In 1999, he decided to vinify for hismself, and to stop taking the easy route of a “guaranteed” income from the local wine cooperative. Once decided, he went all in, determined to produce wines without artifice,...
