A blend of 95% Grolleau Gris and 5% Cabernet Franc, from organically farmed vines planted on clay-limestone soils in the small town of Dampierre-sur-Loire. Hand-harvested. The grapes were vinified separately—Grolleau Gris fully destemmed, Cabernet Franc left as whole clusters. Each had 15 days of maceration before a gentle press, then blended and aged in vats for 5 months. Bottled at the estate in late January 2024, with no fining or filtration, and just a touch of sulfur.

Sophie and Clément Maire-Kurdziel, just in their early forties, are respectively from Moselle and Aveyron in France, and met at the university in Montpellier. Both became oenologists, they worked for large Estates in France and abroad, before returning to the Loire Valley.
