Chamboultou ! - 2020 - Sylvain Boutée
Clos des Boutes
A magnificently crafted Carignan, with a nose of jammy black fruits, leather, and exotic wood... The palate is fleshy, dense, and rich, yet balanced by beautiful freshness and just the right amount of acidity. Try pairing it with grilled meat!

100% Carignan from old vines farmed biodynamically and planted in 1957 on Villafranchian soils (ancient sands and limestone) in the commune of Bellegarde, in the Gard. The grapes are harvested by hand using 15 kg crates. Neither fined nor filtered, and just a microdose of sulphur at bottling.
