100% Grenache Noir for this vintage, sourced from organically farmed vines planted on clay-limestone soils in the commune of Granges-Gontardes. This is a négociant cuvée by David, meaning the grapes were purchased. Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness. Vinification: fully destemmed, gentle pressing in a pneumatic press, cold settling in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in these same tanks. Racking, filtration, and bottling on the 20th of February 2023, with a minimal dose of sulfur added.
David Reynaud, today in his forties, took over the family estate in 2000, and from the beginning, wanted to convert the vineyard to biodynamics. In 2002, he stopped delivering his grapes to the cooperative, which was uninterested in his desire to improve his work methods!
