100% Syrah from 20-year-old vines, farmed organically and biodynamically on the terroir of Châteauneuf-sur-Isère, on clay-limestone terraces with well-drained soils composed of detrital pebbles. Harvesting is done by hand, and the vinification is respectful of the grapes: 100% de-stemmed grapes, gravity-fed, are macerated around 30 days, with indigenous yeasts, gentle pressing and fermentation in concrete vats for 9 months. Racked, filtered and bottled on the 18th of May 2023 with a small dose of sulphur.
David Reynaud
David Reynaud, today in his forties, took over the family estate in 2000, and from the beginning, wanted to convert the vineyard to biodynamics. In 2002, he stopped delivering his grapes to the cooperative, which was uninterested in his desire to improve his work methods! Since then, his wines have never ceased to gain in precision and complexity. In 2005, the 20 ha estate was certified...
