L'Estra Lunat - 2018 - Patrice Delthil
Domaine Calimas
A superb nose carried by notes of jammy blackberry, violet, candied cherry... In short: a true little bomb! Palate: luscious, fleshy, beautiful structure, a long fruity finish. A bottle crafted for meals.

Carignan from old vines grown organically, planted at 150 meters above sea level, on very arid shales. The parcel is just above the Col du Loup vineyard site of Cyril Fhal! Natural vinification: whole bunches, light treading, 10 days of maceration, pressing of the grapes at high density (meaning there are still quite a lot of residual sugars for the fermentation to happen next). 10 months of aging in wooden vats that have seen several wines and in stainless steel tanks. Unfined, unfiltered, bottled at the Estate without any added sulfur.
