A tangy juice with notes of small red berries, led by wild strawberry. This is pure Matassa style: fresh, juicy, easy-drinking, with probably the finest, most elegant tannins of the estate. Bursting with passion fruit aromas—eccentric and exotic!

A blend of Grenache Noir and Grenache Gris from organically and biodynamically farmed vines, planted on the plains and harvested by hand in 500kg bins. Whole bunches are foot-crushed, with a short 5-day maceration by infusion—no pumping over, no punching down. Gentle pressing, 7 months of aging in concrete tanks. Bottled at the estate after racking. Unfined, unfiltered, zero added sulfites.

Tom Lubbe
Tom Lubbe hails from South Africa. In France, he was one of the finest students of Gérard Gauby , thanks to whom he met Nathalie, Gérard’s sister, with whom he settled in 2001 in Calce, in a still unspoilt environment, where they founded the Domaine Matassa.
